Madurai Medicos Welfare Trust was established by Dr. A. Ramanathan and fellow batch members, the 1982 Madurai Medicos Welfare Trust embodies a vision of public service and community empowerment. Our trust is rooted in the principles of non-profit, non-political, and non-religious engagement, dedicated to fostering educational, charitable, and social initiatives for the betterment of society. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to democratizing access to education, ensuring that individuals from all walks of life have the opportunity to pursue knowledge and fulfill their potential. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, we strive to bridge gaps in education, empower marginalized communities, and catalyze positive change. Our Founder, Dr. A. Declaration Of Trust
Objectives & Principles

To help identify the talented, rural, downtrodden students and provide them training education and essential needs.

To conduct welfare programmes for the benefit of public like medical camps, charity works.

To conduct seminars and workshops to update the Medical Education among the medical fraternity.

To contribute to the State and Central Government welfare schemes.

To outreach medical fraternity, involve medical students regularly, to create awareness on social needs and motivate them to contribute their part to the Trust.

To serve in general to alleviate poverty, illiteracy,harmful medical practices among public in general.

To participate in national programmes regarding health, pollution cleanliness.

To indulge in relief operations voluntarily and in conjunction with Govt. machinery, where and when necessary as in cyclone, earthquake, floods, fire etc.

Our Objectives

The Objects Incident Alorancillary To The Above Main Objects Are As Follows

To open, operate and close accounts of any description with any bank or banks for the Trust.

To solicit, receive, hold and disburse funds to promote the objects stated above and to hold funds and investments intrust for the said objects.

To appeal for and raise funds, subscriptions, donations and grants as the Trustees may think fit.

To acquire any movable and immovable properties by purchases lease, hire, exchange or otherwise deal with and to pull down, erect, alter, and maintain buildings anywhere in India for the use of the Trust.

To raise loans and / or advances or financial assistance from individual Trust, Associations, Society, Banks, other Financial Institutions and Government for the furtherance of the objects of the Trust.

To draw, make, accept, discount, endorse, negotiate, sell, execute and issue bills of exchange, promissory notes, cheques, warrants, debentures, and other negotiable or transferableinstruments or securities.

To subscribe, give donations financially or otherwise to any society / Trust which having similar objects.

To do all such acts, deed and things as or may be deemed necessary incidental or conductive to the attainmentof all or any of the objects and purpose of the Trust.

The objects / activities of the Trust shall be carried out only in India.

Management

Subject to the provision therein, the board of Trustees shall be entitled to exercise all such power and do all such acts and things as are necessary to carry out the above mentioned objects.

The Board of Trustees shall meet at least once in 3 months and within 6 months from the end of financial year for approving the statement of accounts.

The Managing Trustee shall be the executive officer of the board and as such he shall be responsible for the custody, of records and properties of the Trust and he shall have power and authority for and on behalf of the board.

It shall be competent for the Managing Trustee if he so desires to appoint a personal assistant to help and enable him to discharge the duties imposed on him under the Trust with other trustees consent.

The annual reportand audited statementof accounts, shallbe presented to and passed by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall decide the time and place of meeting.

The Board shall appoint Auditor(s) and fix his/ their remuneration every year in their Annual meeting.

To appoint any sub/committee and to delegate subject to such conditions as they think fit, any of their powers to these sub committees.

To accept funds in the form of loans, grants or donations, or kind on its own behalf or their agencies, from national and international Banks. No cash transaction is permitted.
